        Innovation Meets Personalization: HealthJoy’s Q4 Product Updates

        We’re a month into Q4. Outside the office, we’re in a glorious mix of pumpkin-flavored everything, football weekends, and getting holiday plans finalized. Inside the office, sights are set on finishing the year strong. I’m excited to share HealthJoy’s Q4 product updates.

        I always look forward to writing these and sharing these exciting updates for two main reasons.

        1. These are changes that will meaningfully improve our member experience. Less time and money spent on healthcare means less burden on these individuals, and greater peace of mind.
        2. To showcase the incredible work our Product and Engineering teams are producing. Without them, our platform wouldn’t be a fraction of what it is today. These improvements are a testament to their hard work and passion to simplify healthcare for our members.

        Now, let’s dive into this quarter's product updates.

        Doubling the virtual care programs available to members 

        By expanding our partnerships with top care vendors, we’re offering programming that addresses employees’ top health concerns like mental health, chronic conditions, and more. Our integrated care programs enable us to maximize benefits engagement among the programs that address those concerns while reducing healthcare costs.

        In many cases, employees never need to leave the HealthJoy app to access the care they need. Those who prefer in-person care or lack health benefits that they need can still rely on our healthcare experts for low-cost, high-quality care recommendations.

        Our partnership with Teladoc is unlocking a host of new solutions for our members. This partnership will enable us to expand the types of care programs we’re able to integrate with and offer to our clients.

        As a result, we’ll be able to offer the following programming for members:

        • Urgent care, dermatology, and nutrition
        • Therapy and medication management via psychiatry
        • Pre-diabetes, diabetes, hypertension, and weight management programs
        • Primary care 

        Expansion of these programs is done with our members in mind. It’s a no-brainer any time we can take a traditionally stressful, inconvenient, or expensive visit and turn it into a simple, smooth experience. 

        And while some may view these as add-ons, many of these services are critical to our members. 

        The impact of these updates could be:

        • Someone gaining access to specialized diabetes care for the first time. 
        • A busy mom saving time and money with virtual urgent care services for her kids.
        • Somebody receiving the mental health care they deserve for the first time in their life. 

        And staying true to our values, we hope these changes deliver joy and some life-changing results. 

        Expanding our MSK therapy offerings

        If you use HealthJoy, we’re sure you know all about our Virtual MSK Therapy program that we launched a year and a half ago. At its launch, Virtual MSK Therapy focused on addressing back pain. Later, we expanded to offer programming that addressed neck, shoulder, knee, and hip pain. 

        Now that we’ve laid out the foundation, let’s get you up to speed on some exciting updates.

        In November 2022, we'll release additional programming to address other joints. These updates will make it a virtual MSK solution for the whole body. 

        New programming will empower members to address pain in their:

        • Hand
        • Wrist
        • Elbow
        • Ankle
        • Foot

        While expanding our brain-based exercises, we’ll continue to deliver industry-leading outcomes to tens of thousands of users who struggle with serious pain. These additions will enable us to offer our members a wider range of care to improve their wellbeing and get them back to doing the things they love.

        Delivering members personalized health recommendations

        Personalized health recommendations are based on a combination of data sources including HealthJoy proprietary data, industry and price transparency tools. We take health needs and goals into account to ensure that interactions with HealthJoy are meaningful, and significantly easier than the experiences they’re used to with benefits.  

        By tailoring each member's experience, we can optimize how employees engage with their benefits and reduce costs for our clients. This is one of many enhancements we plan to deliver to provide a more personalized experience for our members. And what would these enhancements be without an upgraded look? Our new homepage has an enhanced user interface (UI) for a cleaner and more navigable feel that allows us to dynamically vary content for each member.

        The year is winding down, but we’re still going full speed to bring innovative updates that make our platform a comprehensive solution that’s easier than ever to use.
